YANG is YINN's inverse, targeting -300% of the FTSE China 50's daily move. It rises when large Chinese equities fall, and traders use it both directionally and as a hedge on exposure to Asian markets.
Direxion Daily FTSE China Bear 3X ETF (YANG) is currently trading at $28.35. Over the past 52 weeks, YANG has traded between a low of $19.94 and a high of $42.22. Recent daily volume is around 641.4K. These figures update live as the market moves.
Short swap exposure to the China 50, reset daily. The same overnight timing applies as with YINN: the underlying market has already moved before YANG trades, so its US-session behaviour is partly a catch-up to news from Asia.
Chinese equity markets can reverse violently on a single announcement — a stimulus package or a regulatory softening has repeatedly produced double-digit index days. For a -3x fund that means gap risk of a kind US-focused inverse products rarely face, and it cannot be managed with a stop that only works during US hours.
Property-developer defaults, weak Chinese economic data, escalating tariff or export-control announcements, and delisting threats against US-listed Chinese companies. As with YINN, most of the action arrives overnight.
